Oh how we have longed for this warm weather! It's still snowing here and there, but the general trend is warm enough for tapping maple trees! There was a general exodus from the Pemberton house today: playing in mud, drilling holes for maple taps, squaring logs, and bush clearing—therapy for Will, firewood for me!
Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your blog. I came across it by way of Soul Gardening. I'm also raising a gaggle of boys on a farm in the northern climes and I'm also a habitual fermenter of vegetables and repurposer of fabrics, so we are kindred spirits! Thanks for blogging - I could never do it, but I love that you do.

I remember when your youngest was born, just before you moved, I believe. Your family is beautiful and you look like you have the most wonderful life. And I must say, Hugh's bird drawings are quite good!
